R.L. Drake Injection Cables for Drake Twins
By Dr. Barry L. Ornitz WA4VZQ ornitz@tricon.net

The injection cable in the Drake Twins should be a low capacitance cable. RG-62 is perfect for this application. The cable that goes to the receiver input is best made with RG-58 coax. The remaining cables can be off-the-shelf molded audio cables. Don't make the injection cable longer than necessary or the excess capacitance can detune the circuits (unless the cable is in place when doing the alignment).
