Adjustable TX Audio Passband

Q: Are SSB tx passband adjustments in the K3 limited to TX EQ? If so, is there a spec on what the tx audio passband is adjusted to at the factory with the stock 2.7Khz filter?

A: The default Tx Audio passband is 250 Hz to 3150 Hz. Its adjustment is not yet part of the user interface, but will be.

ASCII interface to K3 for transmission November 28 2007

One thing I would like to see is a way to send text to the K3 that is then sent as PSK31. Currently you can do this by sending morse with a key. But, being able to send text directly through the serial port would allow simple keyboard operation from a terminal program.

We -do- plan to allow users to use the 'KY' serial command to send text
to the K3's PSK encoder in a future K3 f/w release.

Adjustable Key Out delay

There will be a menu item for an adjustable delay within certain limits, but I cannot say exactly when it will be available.

Keying Loop

Wayne has confirmed that his "short list" includes implementing a Keying Loop that will fully support the TX EN lines from modern amplifiers.

Subreceiver Support

Wayne has confirmed that the following will be implemented:

1. Option for the Subreceiver settings (mode,BW,PBT/shift,AGC) as well as the VFO to automatically track the main receiver settings. AF/RF gain would remain independent.

2. Option for RIT to change both the mainrx and subrx frequency.

3. Single button press that would "push the context" of the main receiver to the subreceiver if the receivers are otherwise acting independently.

Full CAT Support

The K3 is not yet fully supporting the catalog of CAT commands
