K3 to SPE Expert 1K FA amplifier via CAT

It is also possible to control the amp. via CAT control. This way the amp. follows the VFO.


SPE Expert.............K3

TX_232 pin9 <-------> DATA_IN pin3

RX_232 pin1 <-------> DATA_OUT pin2

GND Pin4 <-------> GND


Configure the SPE to Kenwood and 9k6. The K3 must also be configured for 9k6. If you build an Y cable for PC and amp. control like i did, disconnect TX_232 pin9 from the SPE. Here in my shack it runs perfectly with this config.
