LP-Bridge
From Zerobeat
June 2008 - LP-Bridge is the Windows program written by N8LP that will allow multiple K3 control programs to have managed access to the K3 via virtualized serial ports. As of June 2008, the program is still in development.

On the software front, Scott is working out a final bug in the next release of PowerSDR-IF Stage, and as soon as he does I will test it with LP-Bridge and release a beta.
Please be patient. In addition to LP-PAN, I have had about 60 orders for LP-100A since just before Dayton, and have to find time to work on the software for LP-PAN as well as other products. I expect to be all caught up on everything in the next month or so./

Hi Keith. Glad to hear it. Yes, Logger32 will work through a virtual com port. These are very easy to set up in LP-Bridge.
BTW, will LP-Bridge virtual ports be able to coexist with other virtual ports (those from the Microkeyer) ? (given they dont have the same number, of course.. but could i keep my virtual COM5, COM6 and COM8 from Microkeyer router and create COM7, COM9 or else into LP-Bridge ?
LP-Bridge was expressly designed to eliminate that possibility, Joe. All
polling is done by LP-Bridge. The polls from other applications are
responded to locally by LP-Bridge with data contained in the K3 mirror
within LP-Bridge. There is the possibility that seldom used commands
from multiple applications could pile up going to the K3, but they would
be queued for proper sequencing and sent at the maximum baud rate of the K3. Larry N8LP
You should configure LP-Bridge to talk to the radio on the "Radio" port in Router. There should be no problem unless all of the other applications accessing LP-Bridge overload the "radio" Port capacity (e.g. three loggers all polling at 56K every 100 milliseconds). 73, ... Joe Subich, W4TV
Yes I'm impressed ! It does everything my old SDR 1000 did, including picking up every bit of QRN in the neighbourhood ! Seriously though , its an excellent product Larry. I think most of my problems come from my broadband internet connection, and I've tried three different modems and toroids everywhere. That aside , I'm looking forward to LP Bridge and the new SDR-IF as I'm sure it will make life easier. At the moment HRD and Power sdr-if are talking nicely to each other and even DM780 appears to be working. My Navigator interface is another matter though. I have to admit I cant grasp the principle of virtual com ports properly, so I cant figure how to use my Navigator with its own inbuilt soundcard as well as the Delta 44 in the pc.And I use Logger32 which also has rig control so I suppose when LP Bridge is available I might be able to use that on a virtual com port as well?? Perhaps there is someone out there with a K3, Navigator, LP Pan,SDR-IF, Logger32, HRD, DM780 setup who can point the less pc capable of us in the correct direction?? Could I be that lucky ? well I do have a K3 so that makes me at least 1 in a 1000 !! 73 and thanks Larry Keith VK6XH
